Day 2, Cape Town

The Atlantic and Indian Oceans meet with great triumph at the southern tip of Africa, and where better place to celebrate the diverse marine life in these two vast habitats than where it all comes together in Cape Town – at the V&A Waterfront. Here, the Two Oceans Aquarium showcases the different oceans’ wildlife through interactive displays and over 3 000 marine animals. Take an evening stroll and visit the aquarium before dinner at waterfront.

Day 3, Cape Town

africa_itn03Tour: City Tour Explore South Africa’s exciting ‘Mother City’ on this guided tour of the historical and cultural sights of Cape Town. You will step into the rich history of the city passing by key historical monuments and places of interest, such as the impressive Castle of Good Hope and City Hall. The tour stops at the beautiful St. George’s Cathedral, passes the through the lush Company Gardens, explores a cultural hub of Cape Town, the Bo-Kaap, also known as the Cape Malay quarter, S A Museum, and the Signal Hill. A tour of this vibrant city, home to street markets of every kind, cosmopolitan and rustic eateries, and a host of cultures is an unforgettable experience.

Table Mountain (by Cable car – weather permitting). The cableway offers a comfortable way of reaching the top of the mountain in revolving cars that afford 360° views of the surrounds during the ascent. Each cable car can carry 65 people at a time and trips run on a continuous basis – the cableway is shut down during bad weather. At the top, visitors will discover the views of the entire Cape Town.

Cape Of Good Hope The famous Cape of Good Hope nature reserve, a World Heritage site, is set at the end of Cape Town’s south peninsula. The reserve is home to a variety of small wildlife and has rich plant biodiversity and inspiring landscapes.

Cape Point (by Flying Dutchman Funicular Rail) takes passengers uphill from the car park of the Cape Point Nature Reserve to the old lighthouse sited at 249m overlooking the joining of two oceans – Indian & Atlantic ocean. Standing next to the lighthouse you will breathe the world’s purest air coming off the Antarctic The funicular is believed to be the only commercial one of its kind in Africa and is named after a local legend of a ghost ship. The short three-minute trip passes through 585m of dense fynbos and over rocks to the upper lighthouse. The two cars can carry 40 passengers at a time and trips run continuously.

Day 4, Cape Town

Tour: Full day tour with Seal Island Cruise.

After breakfast drive to Hout Bay a working fishing harbour and get an authentic fishing village experience from the colorful fishing boats moored on the dock to the range of fish markets, restaurants, and shops set overlooking the bay. We will be boarding on Seal island Cruise – offers a unique maritime adventure in its glass-bottomed 22m Catamaran and heads to the large seal colony living just off its coastline. The glass viewing windows below decks offer spectacular underwater views of the seals as well as a host of other marine life. There are full toilet facilities on board as well as a wood-panelled saloon with fully-licensed bar. The boat can handle any weather conditions.


In the afternoon we take a drive to Chapman’s Peak (weather permitting) that winds its way between Hout Bay and Noordhoek on Cape Town’s stunning Atlantic Ocean coastline “Chappies”. The toll route stretches nine kms along the coast taking over 100 curves in a road carved out by prisoners of war in the mid-1910s over a seven-year period. On the one side are towering cliffs and on the other a steep drop to the ocean.

Boulders Penguins The sheltered Simon’s Town beach of Boulders Beach is the home of an endangered land-based colony of African penguins (over 2 000 of them). One can walk between the three pristine and sheltered beaches on boardwalks, which also link to the penguin-viewing area offering fantastic sightings of these unique and endearing animals in their natural habitat.

Day 5, Cape Town

africa_itn05After breakfast, drive down to Silvermist Estate, located in the Constantia wine region for Africa’s longest zipline ride. On arrival you will attend a brief safety course with full demonstration. Get fitted for a harness and helmet, climb to the top of the first platform and take off on your journey down a large canyon, the first in the series of 7 cables stretched between 11 platforms for a total of 1.4 miles (2.3km) – of zooming distance. Suspended at 509 feet above the ground you get the birds eye view of the region. After the zipline, we will drive to Cheetah Outreach is an education and community-based program created to raise awareness of the plight of the cheetah and to campaign for its survival. Here you will come across cheetah and their lifestyle an audio-visual footage about the animals and the program, followed by a tour of the facility. You can also do cheetah encounter at extra charge which allows you to go into the enclosure (with guide), encounter with animal and take photos. (encounter is at additional charge)

Robben Island (Mandela’s prison – subject to weather conditions) –( Dhs 280 per adult/ AED 240 child)
Take a ferry ride from the V&A Waterfront to Robben Island and visit the prison where Nelson Mandela spent 18 years of his 27 years in prison with other apartheid activists. You will transferred to the port, to board the boat which takes you to Robben Island. On arrival, visit Museum at the Clocktower, Nelson Mandela Gateway, the maximum security prison, meet an ex-political prisoner and explore the island on a bus tour.

Day 6, Cape Town – Johannesburg – Sun City

Transfer: to airport for your flight to Johannesburg. On arrival transfer to Sun City (200kms / 2 hrs)

Hotel: You will be staying at the famous Sun City Hotel. Located on the border of the Pilanesberg National Game Park, 2 hrs drive from Johannesburg, Sun City is the perfect getaway destination with a choice of entertainment. Inside the complex there are 3 hotels as well as many attractions which you may explore at your own during your 2 days stay.



Tour yourself: Valley of Waves (within the complex. Free entry for residents),  It is indeed Sun City’s legendary hub for water fun. The main attraction at Valley of Waves is the Roaring Lagoon – a 6 500 square meter wave pool with hydraulic mechanisms that generate waves of nearly 2 meters high every 90 seconds. Perhaps even more famous than the Valley of Waves, the Temple of Courage promises an exhilarating adrenalin rush with a 17-metre drop down a 70-meter slide. The almost vertical slide takes riders hurtling under a bridge and splashing into a small pool. There are also 2 body & tube rides.

Bird Sanctuary (free entry) Sun City’s bird sanctuary allows you to observe birds of prey up close and admire other bird species like parrots, owls & vultures.

Kwena Gardens (entrance fee applicable), The Kwena Gardens crocodile sanctuary at Sun City offers unique and educational kids’ activities from holding a baby crocodile to watching a feeding.


The Maze of the Lost City (entrance fee applicable) The largest permanent maze in the Southern Hemisphere, The Maze of the Lost City is constructed from artificial stone and wood, creating the illusion of an ancient archaeological discovery. It’s just as much fun for families to explore, as it is accessed via a 100 metre-long suspension bridge from the Entertainment Centre, and offers some of the most spectacular views of the resort, particularly of The Palace of the Lost City and the Gary Player Golf Course. When night falls, flaming torches light the paths along the chambers.

Recently refurbished to enhance your gaming experience, Sun City Casino offers hundreds of latest technology slot machines and 43 popular table games. Look out for regular casino promotions. Evening Safari Pilanesberg Game Drive (by 25 seater Open vehicle – 25 seater), Evening drive to Pilanesberg game reserve, with a landscape of 55000 hectares , populated by virtually every mammal in Southern Africa including the Big 5 – lion, leopard, rhino, elephant and buffalo, plus around 300 bird species. Guests will leave for the game drive from the elcome Centre, escorted by experienced and registered field guides eager to share their extensive knowledge of the region. The 25-seater open vehicles traverse.

Day 7, Sun City (Optional Safari)

Tour: The Cultural village, represents eight of the African cultures and tribes in South Africa, highlighting the day-to-day living in rural areas through dress, song, dance, speech and food. Upon your visit to the Cultural Village you can expect to experience a true reflection of various tribes’ cultures, architecture and craftsmanship. Vibrant dancers performing a show of traditional dance and drumming, combined with storytelling, songs and history will transport you to the Africa of yesteryear. Visit our Curio Shop, showcasing all locally made products or wander through the craft market displays.

africa_itn10Morning Safari (AED 340 per person), Early morning set out on a morning safari which takes you to the interiors of Pilanesberg game reserve. The route is quite famous for BIG 5 and rangers often name this route as a SURE SITE route. Besides viewing animals, one can also get an excellent sighting of bird species. After the game drive we return to hotel for breakfast.

Evening Safari with bush dinner (AED 480 per person), Get on the safari through the game reserve in open game vehicles, and later a delicious bush dinner in a thatched boma venue where you will have the company of nocturnal residents of the bush and share their wealth of knowledge of the region..

It also provides a great opportunity for photographers to get a different angle in order to capture their perfect wildlife shot. Your guide will introduce you to different types of vegetation, insects, birds and the unique overlaps between the Kalahari and the Lowveld. Encountering big game on foot will give you a new appreciation for the size and grace of the African wildlife. Even short hikes and bush walks can give you a different picture of the environment the Big 5 live in.

Day 8, Sun City – Johannesburg - Doha

africa_itn12Tour Johannesburg City tour, Upon arriving at Johannesburg, your personalized tour of the historic city starts off with a visit to the Home of Nelson Mandela lived in prior to his death. You’ll see a vibrant mixture of cultures before proceeding to the Carlton Center, – a well-maintained building towers above the city and you can see magnificent 360-degree views from its 50th floor. Passing by Gandhi Square and its namesake statue, you’ll cross the Gold Mining Strip that divides the city. After an hour or two exploring the Apartheid Museum, you’ll continue on to the township of Soweto with your guide. You’re served a typical buffet-style lunch on Vilakazi Street, where you will find the previous homes of two Nobel Peace Prize winners: Desmond Tutu and Nelson Mandela, Hector Pieterson memorial, erected in honor of 70 young people who were shot by police while protesting the apartheid regime during the student riots of 1976. You will also view Freedom Square, the Regina Mundi Church and the World Cup stadium before departing to airport.
